Creating a functional, beautiful, yet masculine home for a father and his six year old daughter was challenging, but also incredibly satisfying. A raw, original brick wall anchors the family room of this cottage in the heart of Richmond.
The streamlined galley kitchen with sleek, dark details, creates a stunning space connecting the historic front of the home, to the newly renovated rear. Polished concrete floors, exposed steel beams and use of timber, established an industrial aesthetic, that is softened with the use of deep cushioned indigo sofa and a bright pop of colourful artwork. The selection of versatile furniture was crucial in this small space. Mobile tray side tables and a bespoke Victorian Ash dining table, work together to make entertaining a breeze.
